Virginia Evans Wins the 2026 Women's Prize for Fiction

Huge congratulations to Virginia Evans, winner of the 2026 Women's Prize for Fiction for her wonderful novel, The Correspondent.

This is particularly exciting news for Michelle Gordon Book Club because The Correspondent was our April Book of the Month. It was a book that generated thoughtful discussion among our members and quickly became a favourite with many readers.

We were also incredibly fortunate to welcome Virginia to Michelle Gordon Book Club. She was so generous with her time, sharing insights into her writing, answering questions from members and helping to make the evening such a special experience. Author events like these are always memorable, and Virginia's warmth and generosity made a lasting impression on everyone who attended.

The Women's Prize for Fiction is one of the most respected literary awards in the world, and we are absolutely delighted to see The Correspondent receive this well-deserved recognition.
